Haf House is one of three of a courtyard of detached nineteenth century barns which once served Tresahor Vean Farm. We live in one, another is our studio and across the yard is Haf.
These buildings are situated at the end of a quarter mile track bordering the Jobs River Valley. Seven acres of fields and fifteen year old woodland now make up our holding, with a tiny brook marking the west boundary. The footpath from Tresahor Vean takes you two miles over fields and bluebell woods to the village of Constantine. The Helford River and the coast are four miles away.
The house is a peaceful and luxurious base for holidays at any time of the year. It is situated in one of the more secluded and beautiful parts of Cornwall, but all that the county has to offer is within easy access.
There are the coastal walks, the coves and bays of the Helford and the Lizard, or further south, the turquoise and white Porthcurno beaches, or the big surf of the North Coast.
The Eden Project, the Tate, the famous semi- tropical gardens of the Helford and the Falmouth National Maritime Museum are all within reach, but you may also like to discover the little Georgian towns, the galleries and studios, the organic brewery, the lobsters brought by boat to your beach cafe, or you needn’t move at all - just relax in the garden of Haf House, enjoying the tranquility and the birdlife.
